Air crash of Yamenia Airlines’ plane near Comoros islands
On June 30, 2009, Airbus A310 operated by Yemenia airlines flying from Sana to Moroni crashed near the Comoros.
Plane crashed while landing at Moroni in adverse weather conditions. On board were 153 people (142 passengers and 11 crew members), only one survived – the 13-year-old passenger Bahia Bakari.
